Sarah McLain LVT
Licensed Veterinary Technician/ Manager
Sarah McLain grew up in San Angelo and has always had a love and passion for helping animals. From helping lost dogs find their owners, to nursing stray kittens back to health she knew she wanted to be in the animal field. She went on to attended Angelo State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2015. She later went on to study at the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver, CO to become a veterinary technician. After completing her internship in 2018 she returned to San Angelo and passed her national and state boards to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). She enjoys educating pet owners on the importance of dental hygiene and performing dental cleanings to help pets have a nice smile for their owners. In her spare time she enjoys taking her dog, Duke, on long runs as well as relaxing at home with her two cats, Candi and Pancho.
Manager/ Veterinary Technician
Kyrsten grew up in Hondo, Texas, where she loved being outdoors. She is an Angelo State University graduate with a bachelors degree in Animal Science and a double minor in Chemistry and Range and Wildlife. She is currently working on her masters degree in Animal Science with a focus in Food Safety and Sanitation and Meat Science, while she waiting to apply to Veterinary School this Fall. Kyrsten is a seasoned Veterinary Technician who found her precious rescue pup, Wrigley, while working at a veterinarian office. She has a passion for helping pet owners find the best nutritional diet for their beloved fur babies. Kyrsten works closely with our veterinarians and food representatives to obtain knowledge of the various nutritional diets for the different individual nutritional needs. Kyrsten works side by side with both the veterinarians and owners to insure your pets have the best care, whether it is a hospitalization or boarding stay. She is a hard-worker, from organizing inventory to serving as president in various school organizations, she puts her whole heart into her work. On her spare time, she enjoys working out in cross-fit and spending time in the outdoors with friends.
Assistant Manager/Veterinary Technician
Kassidy Kypfer grew up in San Angelo, Tx and is currently enrolled at ASU planning to major in Animal Science and double minor in Chemistry and Biology. She has always known she has wanted to be in the veterinary field and has an interest in the integrated functions of the anatomy and physiology of animals as well as the importance of rescue animals. Kassidy has a special place in her heart for rescue animals, as she has rescued her dog, Kloe. She plans to pursue veterinary medicine after college and become a licensed veterinary technician. She has a passion for helping anxious pets feel comfortable in new surroundings. Her loving disposition helps pets feel at ease in both veterinarian appointments and boarding stays. If your fur baby is nervous about a nail trim or a de-matting appointment, Kassidy is always patient in the appointment taking care to make sure your pets feelings are first priority. In her free time, she enjoys taking Kloe on runs, and spending time outside with her friends and family.
Vanessa Soto, an ASU graduate, mother, and soon to be wife. Vanessa has always had an interest in caring for animals that was sparked by animal conservationist, Steve Irwin. Since then, she worked towards her dream in pursuing a career in veterinary care. With the support of her family and daughter, she graduated from Angelo State University with a bachelors degree in Animal Science and minored in Agribusiness. She was especially interested in the study of animal behaviors. Now, she works alongside the amazing staff of North Bentwood Veterinary Hospital and Boarding. She is always happy to care for boarding guests and ensure they have a relaxing, enjoyable stay! Outside the clinic, Vanessa is an active mom supporting her daughter in her extracurricular and enjoys spending time with her family,that includes spoiling both her daughter and fluff-ball kitty, Jesse!
